RAISED ON DJS was realized in 2013 when vocalist Kevin Gau and producer Sean McKay (SPM) connected on a cosmic musical journey. An inspired sound developed, endearing to the glory days of synth-based eighties new wave. Wide range of influences include Naked Eyes, Psychedelic Furs, The Eurythmics and Depeche Mode with contemporary comparisons to Stars, Postal Service, Daft Punk LCD Sound System and MGMT. Raised On DJs is based in Vancouver Canada!!

Kevin Gau is the former lead singer and guitarist of Vancouver band THE LEFTKevin Gau has established himself for over ten years as an outstanding session vocalist and as the frontman for several major album releases and tours across Canada and the United States. Winning-multiple prizes from competitions like Fox Vancouver Seeds and The Peak Performance Project, Kevin has had the opportunity to work with top industry professionals and leading studios from the west coast to Ontario, and around the globe.

Sean McKay is an accomplished musician and producer and as worked with many different music projects of note over his past two decades in the Canadian Music industry. Some of which includes writing, producing and performing his own music under the name ‘Sound Pressure Manifest’ (SPM), as well as his work as a keyboard player with EMI Recording Artists Econoline Crush. Sean played an integral role in the Simon Collins group and would also play guitar and keyboards with the former KMFDM guitarist Guentar Schulz in the Sudden Death recording artist SCHULZ.
